Quantum Determinism Versus Indeterminism: Resolving the Self-empowerment Paradox

Inherent in our existence is the understanding that we are the products of several fundamental, determining influences. These include our genetic heritage, in-utero developmental influences and early environmental neuro-psychological influences. Our genetic heritage itself represents the recombination of an essentially finite pool of chemistry which originated with the onset of the evolution of our species. Our earliest neuro-psychological environments themselves represent, to a large extent, the input of parental neuro-psychology which itself was determined by their earliest nurture environments. We see therefore a compounding process of neuro-psychological determinism. This is further endorsed by current neuro-physiological research which has shown the autolysis of "unlabelled" neuronal systems from the age of three years.

We may conclude therefore that it is as a result of these dynamics that no two people are identical in terms of their potential, whether it be physical or intellectual. Further, it may be concluded that this variance of potential is largely determined by deterministic influences which are pivotal in terms of development prior to the individual being able to assume any meaningfull responsibility for the process.

In effect then we may view the individual in profile as an organism which enters the world by incorporating a genetic and neuro-psychological heritage which will, to a large extent, determine later choices in life. Obviously the individual does not function within a vacuum. Rather he/she interacts with an environment. The important point however is that the environments that we materialise around us, which includes our inter-human relationships, reflect either our inherited environments and/or those environments that we choose usually through a process combining choice and trial-and-error. We cannot escape the influence that we have incorporated from our heritage and its "stamp" of deterministic influence upon the materialisation of later environments.

In regard to the question of randomness. In a material, time-matter based environmnent, apparent randomness and fortuitous events seem to occur. With billions of people sharing space and events one may be tempted to perceive an indeterminism resulting from unanticipated displacement. This could be further compounded by the individuals response with relocation and the establishment of a new homeostasis. However we do not live within a five-senses based environment. We live within a greater timeless and spaceless quantum domain. In this domain, all our heritage environments i.e. our genetics and our self-perpetuating neuro-psychological environments have synchronously interacted with the quantum form of the greater extended environment since the beginning of time. In this way, the quantum dynamic has ensured that the properties of matter remain unchanged and predictable. Whenever entity A interacts with entity B then C will result. If there had been a fundamental quantum indeterminism, then the properties of matter would change continuously and would not be predictable. The quantum environment is thus seen to sustain resultant outcomes representing the summation of energy flux and synchronicity along any given point of its dynamic. This is observed as the material (five senses-based) manifestation.

The inescapable conclusion from a quantum and material perspective is therefore one of inherent determinism with only a minor indeterministic influence. The profile then is one of an individual who materialises out into a functioning consciousness somewhere along a strongly deterministic line of evolution. One asks therefore what be the purpose of material existence? The question answers itself. The purpose is to materialise into existence and so crystallise the determinants which further adds to a process of ongoing recombination and evolution. We do however leave an imprint of our consciousness upon all that materialised in our environments and this will ensure the perpetuation of our individual integrity in a quantum sense. To materialise out appears therefore to be a quantum biological imperative. We must and will live to our fullest potentials which reflects our determinism.

The ethic which emerges from this evaluation is that we are all products of a greater, timeless dynamic. We all have differing inherent potentials for physical and neuro-psychological development. We thus can never judge an individual in isolation from his/her heritage. In the same way, we can never judge ourselves in retrospect. We always function as the products of our heritages. Our biological imperative is to live to our fullest potentials and if we are programmed to evolve as opposed to remaining reflex neuro-psychological entities then we are blessed by the advantageous recombination of heritage determinants which is our intrinsic potential. It follows that we should assume everyone in our environment to be programmed with evolutionary potential. Retrospectively, those that do not evolve were not programmed for enhanced integration.

If one were able to upgrade the integration and thus the functioning level of consciousness of every individual at will, we would be able to cure all cancers and all chronic infections with PNI applications. This as we know is not possible due to the differing receptivities of individuals which reflects differing heritages. One further requires receptivity for the PNI process, receptivity itself reflects a heritage determinant. It would be naive to state that one could create a blanket receptivity to the process, followed by blanket consciousness enhancement, because that would nessecarily require a denial of heritage and individual choice of the individual in the context of the greater extended environment. Taken to its absurd conclusion, do we wish to create a homogenate of artificially enhanced individuals devoid of negative emotions with unlimited life-spans? Or do we wish to enhance those who are receptive to the process and thus respect the timeless quantum dynamic and synchronise with it? A contribution to a natural selection process.

There are three tiers of intervention which are categorised on the basis of the respect shown for the individual in the context of their quantum heritage:
  1. NLP alone. Here the least respect is shown for the individual in terms of heritage.
  2. PNI techniques alone.
  3. PNI techniques with respect for quantum determinants.

Prospectively we will assume that every individual is programmed with enhancing determinants and we will inspire and instruct. Retrospectively, many will not be receptive and will not be enhanced. When all is said and done, we are still similar to the uni-cellular amoeba: we move towards that which we find positively stimulating and pleasant and away from that which is noxious or detrimental to well-being. We are blessed if the pleasant fulfilment sought, includes the process of conscious enhancement, a reflection of our heritage determinism.

In conclusion we may ask how much free choice we really do have against the background of interwoven quantum determinants? From the macro- to the minutest micro-environment, timeless and spaceless determinants weave their design. The parts reflect the whole and we the trainers and therapists are included in that woven tapestry which is the quantum.
